The President of the country, representative of Europe Salome Zourabichvili, who criticized the results of the elections, was invited to clarify her position. Zourabichvili called the results of the elections "illegitimate," describing it as "a special Russian operation," which was blocked by Kremlin.
The Central Electoral Commission of Georgia announced a recount of votes after opposition parties accused the ruling party of "stealing" votes. An investigation is currently underway regarding the facts of the report and high-ranking officials have been invited for clarification on the allegations.
